Reaction to the Current Job Market for College Students by Diego Clark
As young individuals like myself begin thinking about where we see ourselves working in five
years, we often read the news regarding the current job market. We often end up finding articles
about layoffs and individuals struggling to find open positions, leaving us anxious and unsure of
what to study to set ourselves up for future success.
The data that often stays hidden concerns
the multitude of careers that are growing rapidly within the job market.
These jobs aren’t all concentrated in one industry either, as they cover a variety of skill sets.
Some examples include:
statisticians whose field is supposed to grow 32% by 2032
nurse practitioners at a 45% growth rate
software developers at 26%
and veterinary assistants at 20%
For the young people out there worried about their future careers, there is nothing to be worried about, you just have to understand where to look.
