Employers appreciate certifications because they highlight your commitment to growing professionally and that you are up-to-date on industry trends.
The most recognized marketing certifications are:
1. Google Certifications: Google offers three key marketing-focused certifications: Google Ads, Google Analytics, and Google Digital Marketing and E-Commerce. All the courses are self-paced and cost $39 a month.
2. Hubspot: Hubspot offers certifications in Content Marketing, Email Marketing, and Social Media Marketing. Depending on the certification, the courses have different layouts and time commitments. All of the certifications offered by Hubspot are completely free.
3. Hootsuite: Hootsuite offers a Social Media Marketing Certification. The certification requires you to take a three-and-a-half-hour online class. The entire course costs $199.
4. American Marketing Association: The American Marketing Association (AMA) offers four different marketing certifications: Digital Marketing, Marketing Management, Sales Management, and Content Marketing. The certification costs between $849-$2,795, but by becoming a member of the AMA, there is a discount.
5. Accredited University Certifications: Many accredited universities offer marketing certifications. Below are the two most well-known certifications:
